FIRST GENERATION :


1. Mordechai Markus Levisohn, born in July 1783 in Elbersdorf. He married Jette Goldschmidt, born in 1781. Markus and Jette Levisohn had three son:

2. Hirsch Hermann Levisohn, born in Elbersdorf, he emigrated into the USA and lived in

Wilkes-Barre, PA., he was still alive in 1890.

Mordechai Markus Levisohn died on 19.04.1844. He is buried on the jewish cemetery of Binsfoerth, grave no. 45. Jette Levisohn died on 09.03.1867 at the age of 86 years and three days (death-list no. 65).



SECOND GENERATION :


3. Gabriel Levisohn, born 13.12.1819 in Elbersdorf. He was a merchant. He married first on 10.09.1851 Reichel Stockhauser, 28 years old, from Franckershausen, born about 1823, daughter of Callmann Stockhauser and his wife Gidel, nee Neuhaus (wedding-list no. 35). Gabriel and Reichel Levisohn had two children:


5. Marcus Levisohn, born 03.02.1853 in Elbersdorf (birth-list no. 3). He died on 26.02.1855

(death-list no. 188).

6. Hendel Levisohn, born 08.02.1855 in Elbersdorf (birth-list no.22). She died on 27.03.1855

(death-list no. 19).


Reichel Levisohn died on 11.04.1855 at the age of 32 years (death-list no. 20). Gabriel Levisohn married a second time on 28.01.1857 Amalie / Merle Mueller, born 23.05.1835, daughter of Meier Mueller and his wife Adelheit, nee Rosenstein (wedding-list no. 11). Gabriel and Amalie Levisohn had nine children:

8. Jacob Levisohn, born 18.08.1859. he was a whip manufacturer. He married on 17.08.1886 Ranchen / Rosa Spangenthal, born 01.06.1866, daughter of Herz Spangenthal and his wife Gidel, nee Bachrach (wedding-list no. 61). Jacob and Ranchen Levisohn had three children:

(Meldekarte Spangenberg). Markus Levisohn died in 1950.


13. Jettchen / Henriette Levisohn, born 24.09.1869. She was married to Siegmund Winter. Jettchen and Siegfried Winter had three children . Jettchen Winter died 03.03.1948.

43. Salomon Wolff, born 21.07.1900. He married Edith Wunderlich. He died 15.12.1959.

15. Selma Levisohn, born 07.01.1873, she was married on 29.04.1900 in Abterode to Moses Goldschmidt, born 10.12.1864, son of Liebermann Goldschmidt and his wife Frommet, nee Westheim. Selma and Moses Goldschmidt had three children:


44. Siegfried Goldschmidt, born 20.08.1897, he died 01.04.1917.

+ 45. Flora Goldschmidt, born 20.06.1902, she was married to Sallo B. Hamberg.

Moses Goldschmidt died on 14.05.1920 in Abterode, he is buried on the jewish cemetry of Abterode, grave no.,319. Selma Goldschmidt died on 17.11.1932 in Treysa, she is buried on the jewish cemetery of Treysa (lagis, juedische Friedhoefe, Abterode).


16. Simon Levisohn, born 12.10.1874, he married on 18.02.1903 Selma Goldschmidt, born 16.07.1880 in Spangenberg, daughter of Ruben Goldschmidt and his wife Fanny, nee Wolf. Simon and Selma Levisohn had four children:

Simon and Selma Levisohn emigrated on 27.12.1936 to Jerusalem. Simon Levisohn died 08.01.1945.


17. Max Levisohn, born 30.12.1879 in Bochum. He was teacher and cantor. He lived in Essen Von-Seeckt-Strasse 47 and Saarbruecker Strasse 39. He married Paula Loewenstein, born 09.07.1888 in Bochum. Max and Paula Levisohn had two children:


+ 51. Heinz Levisohn, born 27.06.1912 in Essen

+ 52. Ruth Levisohn, born 13.01.1922.


Max, Paula and Ruth Levisohn were deported on 22.04.1942 from Duesseldorf to Izbica.

18. Max Levisohn, born 29.02.1888 in Spangenberg, he married Mary N.N. Max and Mary Levisohn had a daughter:

Max Levisohn died 23.04.1948.


20. Moritz Levisohn, born 15.12.1890, he took part in WW I, he died on 08.02.1916.


21. Flora Levisohn, born 16.10.1892, she was married on 01.09.1920 to Moses / Max Neuhaus, born 26.01.1885 in Baumbach, son of Samuel Neuhaus and his wife Bertha, nee Wallach (wedding-list no.80). Flora and Moses Neuhaus had two children:


+ 54. Hilde / Berthilde Neuhaus, born 12.06.1921 (birth-list no. 262) She lives in Seattle, USA.

+ 55. Gerhard Neuhaus, born 18.02.1922 (birth-list no. 266). He lives in San Francisco.

22. Hedwig Levisohn, born 16.06.1894. She was married on 24.08.1923 to Erich Cahn, born 03.05.1893 in Eschwege, son of Selmar Cahn and his wife Minna, nee Mendelsohn from Giessen. 24. Margarethe/Grethe Levisohn, born 27.05.1887. She was married to David Sommer. Margarethe and David Somer had a daughter:

33. Claire Baum, born 11.10.1900, she was married to Isaac Julius Ochs. Claire and Isaac Julius Ochs had four children.


36. Gabriel/Gabi Levisohn, born 13.02.1903, he married Hilde Goldberg. Gabriel and Hilde Levisohn had two children. Gabriel Levisohn died 03.04.1961.


39. Gustav/Gavriel/Haley Levisohn, born 12.12.1904. He moved on 07.07.1930 to Frankfurt/Main and lived there in Roederbergweg 36/I (Meldekarte Spangenberg). He mariied first Margot Bickhard. Gustav and Margot Levisohn had two children.

Gustav Levisohn married a second time Lotte Daniel. He died 10.12.1951.


40. Julius Levisohn, born 11.05.1907. He lived for a certain time till 29.02.1927 in Frankfurt/Main (Meldekarte Spangenberg). He emigrated on 15.03.1936 to Jerusalem. He married first Lore Weilburg. Julius and Lore Levisohn had two children.


Julius Levisohn married a second time Ruth Katzmann. Julius and Ruth Levisohn had a daughter.


Julius Levisohn was renaturalized in 1957 (Meldekarte Spangenberg).


41. Leopold Wolff, born 18.08.1892, he married Lotte Weissmann. Leopold and Lotte Levisohn had a son-


46. Mali Goldschmidt, born 07.11.1905, she was married to Max Baum (no. 32 of this genealogy, look there.) Mali Baum died 03.06.1964.


47. Irma Levisohn, born 03.11.1903, she was married on 25.07.1923 to Siegfried Windmueller, born 15.04.1897 in Langenschwarz, son of Samuel Windmueller and his wife Betty, nee Simon (wedding-list no.13, Standesamt Spangenberg no.1923/84). Irma and Siegfried Windmueller had a daughter:

49. Fritz Simon Levisohn, born 11.03.1907. He was a merchant, he moved in 1931 from Spangenberg to Cologne (Meldekarte Spangenberg). He emigrated in May 1933 to Jerusalem. He married Grete Herz. Fritz and Grete Levisohn had two children.


50. Mary Levisohn, born 30.06.1913, she emigrated on 27.12.1936 with her parents to Jerusalem. (Meldekarte Spangenberg)


51. Heinz Levisohn, born 27.06.1912 in Essen. He emigrated to Jerusalem and changed his name into David Bar-Levi. (H. Schroter, a.a.O., p.632)


52. Ruth Levisohn, born 13.01.1922 in Essen, she was deported with her parents on 22.04.1942 from Duesseldorf to Izbica.

FIFTH GENERATION :


54. Bernhilde / Hilde Neuhaus, born 12.06.1921 in Spangenberg, she was married to Wayne Droker. Hilde and Wayne Droker have three children.


55. Gerhard Neuhaus, born 18.02.1922 in Spangenberg, he married Renee Cohn. Gerhard and Renee Neuhaus have three children.
