FIRST GENERATION :


1. Moses Levi and his wife Guetel, from Altenburg (next to Felsberg), they had two sons:


+ 2. Leib Moses, born 07.01.1761 or 1767in Felsberg or Altenburg

+ 3. Heinemann Moses, born 07.05.1777 or 1778 in Felsberg or Altenburg


Moses and Guetel Levi died before 1808.

SECOND GENERATION :


In 1808 Leib Moses and Heinemann Moses accepted under the gouverment of Napoleon‘s youngest brother Jerome, King of Westphalen, the surname Apfel, later Appel.


2. Leib Moses Apfel, born 07.01.1761 or 1767 in Felsberg or Altenburg, he married Deichen Jonas. Leib Moses and Deichen Apfel had seven children:

Felsberg to Markus Plaut Taub, she died 04.04.1862 in Felsberg.

9. Goldchen Appel, born 1812 in Felsberg, she was married on 08.12.1839 in

Wanfried to Suesskind Brinkmann, she died 13.02.1870 in Eschwege.

10. Vogel Appel, born 1820 in Felsbereg, she died 10.09.1853 at the age of 33

years in Melsungen.


3. Heinemann Moses Appel, born 07.05.1777 or 1778 in Felsberg or Altenburg, he married Jentchen Levi Lilienthal, bor 1785 in Gudensberg. Heinemann Moses and Jentchen Apfel had seven children:


+ 11. Moses Heinemann Apfel, born 08.02.1811 in Felsberg or Altenburg.

12. Giedel Appel, born 1812 in Felsberg, she was married on 28.08.1839 in

Harmuthsachsen to Bendix Fuerst, she died 07.10.1899 in Harmuthsachsen.

14. Leib Appel, brn 1817 in Felsberg, he married on 29.10.1839 in Felsberg

Jettchen Goldschmidt.

15. Reichel Appel, born 1821 in Felsberg, she was married on 07.06.1854 in

Eschwege to Leon Levi Kahn. She died 19.03.1861 in Eschwege.

16. Roeschen Appel, born 12.10.1825 in Felsberg, she was married on

05.02.1865 in Malsfeld to Sussmann Goldschmidt.

17. N. N. Appel, born 24.12.1828 in Felsberg, he died 31.12.1828.

4. Moses Leib Apfel / Moses Appel I., born 06.06.1802 in Felsberg or Altenburg, butcher. He married on 29.10.1839 in Bischhausen Jettchen Goldschmidt, born 1811 in Bischhausendaughter of Mendel Michel Goldschmidt and his wife Beschen, née Isac Gruenbaum. Moses and Jettchen Appel had ten children:

Moses Appel died in 1867 in Felsberg, he is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Obervorschuetz, grave no. 161 (www.lagis-hessen.de Juedische Grabstaetten).

Jettchen Appel died in 1868 in Felsberg. She is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Felsberg (photo).


5. Moses Heinemann Apfel / Moses Appel II, born 08.02.1811 in Felsberg or Altenburg, butcher. He married on 28.05.1839 in Felsberg Gelach / Gelchen Loewenstein, born in 1816 in Felsberg, daughter of Moses Samuel Loewenstein and his wife Esther, née Plaut Mondschein. Moses and Gelach Appel had ten children:

33. Moses (Jacob) Appel, born 27.12.1847 in Felsberg, butcher, he lived in Friedberg, Judengasse no. 285. He married first N. N. As a widower he married a second time on 20.10.1885 in Borken Dina Blum, born 11.05.1854 in Borken Todtenstrasse no. 13, daughter of Haune Blum and his wife Jette, née Rosenbusch.


37. Roeschen Appel, born 24.10.1856 in Felsberg. She was married on 19.02.1885 in Friedberg to David Steinhardt, born 25.02.1858 in Neumorschen, butcher, son of Jacob Steinhardt, merchant, and his wife Minna, née Hahn. Jacob and Minna Steinhardt lived in Witzenhausen. Roeschen and David Steinhardt lived in Friedberg. 38. Moritz Steinhardt, born 1885 in Friedberg.
