The Heinemann Family from Riede

(originally from Niedenstein)


Starting with Simon Heinemann-Lotheim. His ancestors were Seligmann Heinemann (great-grandfather, ca. 1622 – after 1685), Jakob Heinemann (grandfather, 1661 – before 1744), Suessmann Heinemann (father, 1707/08 – before 1782) (Karl E. Demandt, a.a.O., p. 94)


FIRST GENERATION (in Niedenstein) :


1. Siemon Heinemann-Lotheim, born 18.01.1730 in Niedenstein, son of Suessmann Heinemann and his wife Elkel aus Warburg. He married before 1761 Breuna/Breine Samuel (Breyna Smullin) aus Mackenzell. Siemon Heinemann got a protective letter on 27.03.1762. Siemon and Breine Heinemann bought on 03.03.1766 a house in Niedenstein in the Mittelgasse. Siemon Heinemann was a cattle dealer and busy with renting. Siemon and Breine heinemann had seven children:


2. Samuel / Schmul Heinemann, born 04.10.1761 in Niedenstein

3. Jacob Heinemann, born 18.11.1763 in Niedenstein

+ 4. Nathan Heinemann, born 02.03.1767 in Niedenstein

5. Elkel Heinemann, born 16.02.1769 in Niedenstein

6. Sara Heinemann, born 10.10.1770 in Niedenstein

7. Abraham Heinemann, born 09.04.1776 in Niedenstein

8. Beile Heinemann, born 30.0.1778 in Niedenstein.


Siemon Heinemann died 07.11.1804 in Niedenstein. Breine Heinemann died before 1812.

SECOND GENERATION :


4. Nathan Heinemann, born 02.03.1767 in Niedenstein.He moved to Riede and married on 08.06.1812 Hanna Cantor Ziegelberg, 28 years old, born about 1784 in Riede, daughter of Jonas Cantor Ziegelberg and his first wife Reichel, née Gruensfeld. (Karl E. Demandt, a.a.O., p. 269/270)

Nathan and Hanna Heinemann had three children:

+ 9. Siemon Heinemann, born 15.06.1815 in Riede

+ 10. Herz Heinemann, born 28.12.1818 in Riede

+ 11. Breine Heinemann.


Nathan Heinemann died on 26.09.1842 at the age of 79 years in Riede, He is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Obervorschuetz, grave no. 227. Hanna Heinemann died on 22.08.1858 at the age of 74 years in Riede.



THIRD GENERATION :


9. Siemon Heinemann, born 15.06.1815 in Riede, horse dealer in Borken. He married first at the age of 31 years on 01.09.1846 in Riede Roeschen Hoexter, 22 years old, born about 1824 in Borken, daughter of Leib Hoexter and his wife Giedel née Goldschmidt. Siemon and Roeschen Heinemann lived in Borken, they had three children:


12. Bertha Heinemann, born 04.07.1847 in Borken

13. Reikchen Heinemann, born 23.06.1849 in Borken

14. Nathan Heinemann, born in May 1851, he died 18.01.1855 in Borken at the age of 3 years

and 7 ¾ months.


Roeschen Heinemann died on 28.07.1852 at the age of 27 years and 10 months in Borken. Siemon Heinemann married a second time on09.11.1853 in Borken Derz Hoexter, born 22.12.1827 in Borken, daughter of Leib Hoexter and his wife Giedel, née Goldschmidt. Siemon and Derz Heinemann had three children:


15. Hannchen Heinemann, born born 07.11.1858 in Borken, she died on 29.11.1886 in

Borken, she is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Haarhausen, grave

no. 263.

16. Herrmann Heinemann, born in March 1866, he died on 12.05.1872 in Borken at the age

of 6 years, 1 month and 22 days.

17. Benni Heinemann, born 12.12.1868 in Borken, he died on 15.01.1869 in Borken at the

age of 1 month and 3 days.

Derz/Terz Heinemann died on 12.09.1870 at the age of 42 years and 11 months in Borken. She is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Haarhausen, grave no. 120.

10. Herz Heinemann, born 28.12.1818 in Riede, he married first at the age of 43 years on 05.11.1861 in Riede Schena/Schoenchen Kanter, 34 years old, born 15.09.1827 in Riede, daughter of Michael Kanter and his wife Beschen née Rosenblatt. Schoenchen Heinemann died on 02.06.1866 in Riede at the age of 39 years. Herz Heinemann married a second time at the age of 50 years Jochebet /Hannele Nussbaum, 35 years old, born about 1832 in Neukirchen, daughter of Hirsch Nussbaum and his wife Peschen née Stern. Herz and Hannele Heinemann had three children:

13. Hermann Heinemann, born 10.07.1869 in Riede

+ 14. Hanna Hedwig Heinemann, born 15.08.1870 in Riede.


Jochebet / Johanna Heinemann died on 16.01.1890 or 1892 in Riede. She is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Obervorschuetz, grave no. 340. Herz Heinemann died on 04.01.1909 in Riede, he is buried on the Jewish cemetery of Obervorschuetz, grave no. 339.


11. Breine Heinemann, she had an illigitimate son:

15. Nathan Heinemann, born 09.08.1848 in Riede, he died 14 days old on 23.08.1848 in

Riede.



FOURTH GENERATION :


12. Nathan Heinemann, born 10.07.1869 in Riede, he married Bela Chai Bertha Gruenebaum, born 01.06.1866 in Wenkbach /Tauberbischofsheim. Nathan and Bertha Heinemann lived in Riede, house no. 20 1/8 and 38. They had fie children:


16. Hugo Heinemann, born 20.12.1897 in Riede. He died in WWI on 26.07.1917.

Nathan and Bertha Heinemann moved to Frankfurt and lived on 17.05.1939 in Rohrbachstrasse 57, later in Gagernstrasse 36 (Jewish hospital and old age home). Nathan and Bertha Heinemann were deported on 18.08.1942 from Frankfurt to Theresienstadt and from there on 23.09.1942 to Treblinka.


14. Hanna Hedwig Heinemann, born 15.08.1870 in Riede, She was a single, she lived in Mannheim. She was deported on 30.11.1940 to Gurs and murdered there on 30.11.1940.



FIFTH GENERATION :


17. Johanna Heinemann, born 10.04.1899 in Riede. She was married in 1930 in Hanau to

Dr. med. Otto Schwabe (Standesamt Hanau, Trauregister 303/1930). Johanna and Otto Schwabe had two children:


+ 21. Hans Schwabe, born about 1931 in Hanau

+ 22. Hedwig Schwabe, born about 1933 in Hanau.


Dr. Otto Schwabe wanted to emigrate with his family and got in 1937 the exit permit. But he was arrested in 1937 by the Gestapo and died in the Gestapo office. It is not clear if hewas murdered or if committed suicide. (Information from Monica Kingreen, Windecken, e-mail from 08.04.2016)

Johanna Heinemann emigrated on 11.11.1937 with her children Hans and Hedwig from Hamburg to New York. Johanna Schwabe died on 21.05.1992 in Manchester, Hartford, Connecticut at the age of 93 years. (Descendants of Nathan Heinemann, compiled by Dennis Aron, April 2016)


18. Julius Heinemann, born 30.08.1900 in Riede. He lived in Frankfurt Rohrbachstrasse 57. He was deported on 08.or 24.05.1942 from Frankfurt to Lublin and from there to the nearby concentrationcamp Majdanek. He received the inmate number 7749. He was murdered on 25.07.1942.


19. Siegfried / Fred Heinemann, born 30.09.1901 in Riede. He married first on 12.09.1929 in Weinheim Irene Mina Brueckmann, born 08.09.1905 in Weinheim, daughter of Sigmund Brueckmann and his wife Jettchen/Settchen née Schellenberg. Siegfried an Irene Mina Heinemann had three children:


+ 23. Horst Heinemann, born 23.06.1930 in Weinheim

+ 24. Ernst Ludwig Heinemann, born 16.04.1934 in Weinheim

+ 25. Jack S. Heinemann, born 14.08.1947 in the USA.


Siegfried and Irene Mina Heinemann departed with their son Ernst Ludwig Heinemann from Genoa/Italy and arrived in New York on 08.01.1947. Irene Mina Heinemann died before 1966. Siegfried Heinemann married a second time on 09.11.1966 in Hartford, Connecticut Sadie Falcone, born about 1901 in Licodia-Eubea, Sicily, Italy. She was married first to Santo Falcone. She died on 07.07.1998 at the age of 96 years in Hartford, Connecticut. (Descendants of Nathan Heinemann, compiled by Dennis Aron, April 2016)




SIXTH GENERATION :


21. Hans Schwabe, born about 1931 in Hanau. He emigrated with his mother and his sister on 11.11.1937 from Hamburg to New York. He changed his name into John Schwabe. He lived in 20 Oak Wood Road, So Windsor, Connecticut 06074.


22. Hedwig Schwabe, born about 1933 in Hanau. She emigrated with her meother andher brother on 11.11.1937 from Hamburg to New York. She changed her name into Margaret. She was married to David Feldman, born about1925. In 2016 he is 91 years old. Margaret and David Feldman lived in 93, Hillcrest Road, Mount Vernon, N.Y. 10552.

23. Horst Heinemann, born 23.01.1930 in Weinheim. He emigrated from Bremen into the USA and arrived in New York on 07.10.1937. He married Eleanor N. N. Horst and Eleanor Heinemann

have a son:


26. Mark Heinemann.


24. Ernst Ludwig Heinemann, born 16.04.1934 in Weinheim. He arrived in New York with his parents on 08.01.1947. He married on 31.10.1959 Lucy C. Zaffetti, born about 1934. Ernst Ludwig and Lucy C. Heinemann had a son:


27. Gregory Heinemann.


25. Jack S. Heinemann, born 14.08.1947 in the USA. He married on 03.11.1973 in Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut Susan M. O'Donnell, born 20.07.1945 in Hartford, Connecticut, daughter of James O'Donnell and his wife Margaret, née Cooney. Jack S. And Susan M. Heinemann had a daughter:

+ 28. Irene Heinemann.

Susan M. Heinemann died on 14.05.2015 in Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut at the age of 69 years.

28. Irene Heinemann, she was married to Jay Dubois. Irene and Jay Dubois have a daughter:
